Location: Willer-Kash Road

Project: Willer-Kash Road Reconstruction

The State Division of Forestry in cooperation with the State Division of Parks and the Matanuska-Susitna Borough is clearing brush from the sides of the Willer-Kash Road in preparation for reconstruction of the road after the 2008 spring break-up. The project is located approximately five miles east up the Willow-Fishhook / Hatcher Pass Road, north up Shirley-Towne Road, then east on Willer-Kash Road to the parking lot. The Willer-Kash Road project begins at the parking lot and continues north for approximately 6 miles.

The Willer-Kash Road will be closed to traffic 24 hours a day, Monday through Saturday, starting February 13 and is expected to reopen on or before March 15, 2008. The road will be open to all traffic on Sundays.
