How you can participate:

Provide comments during the Public Review period. Provide clear and specific feedback about the draft plan to help reviewers understand your comments as well as possible. Reference page and line numbers to direct reviewers to the portion of text addressed in your comment. Take a look at the pamphlet make your comments count for more information about how to craft an impactful comment. Informational meetings will be held during the comment period to discuss the revision and review process and share information about the proposed changes.

TVSF Intent to Adopt (ITA) Public review

As a final step before submission to the DNR Commissioner’s Office for approval, the Division of Forestry & Fire Protection invites public input on the TVSF Management Plan intended for adoption, the TVSF Land Classification order, and the Issue Response Summary developed from comments submitted in Fall 2024. The ITA documents will be open for public input March 19-April 18, 2025.

One virtual public meeting will be held at 6:30pm on April 3, 2025.

TVSF Land Classification Order

The Land Classification Order (LCO) is a document that is signed by the DNR Commissioner, legally acknowledging the land use recommendations that are described in the Management Plan.

TVSF Issue Response Summary

The Issue Response Summary (IRS), is a matrix containing summarized comments that were submitted in the initial public review period in Fall of 2024. Comments are organized by topic, addressed with a response, and the decision of whether or not to make edits based on a comment is identified.
