In 2016 the Department of Natural Resources (DNR) received a Landscape Scale Restoration grant from the United States Forest Service (USFS) entitled Fish Need a Forest: Restoring Campbell Creek and Creating Low Impact and Sustainable Public Access. Project partners included the State of Alaska Division of Forestry & Fire Protection, Anchorage Parks Foundation (APF), the Municipality of Anchorage (MOA), Youth Employment in Parks (YEP), Alaska Department of Fish & Game(ADF&G), Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC), US Fish & Wildlife Service (USFWS), and a variety of volunteer/community groups. This WebApp is designed for residents and visitors that enjoy the Campbell Creek watershed, as well as an educational tool to learn about current and future projects associated with community forests and waterways.
